Google Ads FAQ’s
How does Google Ads work?
Google Ads, also known as Google AdWords is a paid advertising system developed by Google. Advertisers have to bid on their chosen keywords to make their ads show up in Google search results. These ads are clickable and lead the customer to their website or a landing page. Thanks to highly-advanced technology, marketers can track all of the traffic and conversions generated with these ads.
What is PPC?
PPC stands for Pay Per Click and is an online advertising model where the advertiser pays each time someone clicks on their ad. The aim behind those ads is to bring traffic to your website or landing page and convert the leads into sales. Paying per click on these adverts could, therefore, be seen as buying those visits to your site.
Are Google Ads worth the money?
Paid advertising campaigns allow you to target the audience you’re looking to attract in a much more precise and effective way, than if you were to try reaching them organically. For this reason, your marketing budget can produce a lot more return on investment when applied to paid advertising campaigns, such as Google Ads. Additionally, when the campaigns are set up correctly by a trained and experienced account manager, the cost of running Google Ads does not have to be as high as many people anticipate.
Are Facebook Ads PPC ads?
The simple answer is, yes, Facebook Advertising is based on the ‘Pay Per Click’ model. Choosing to do PPC ads on Google or Facebook will be determined by your business’s objectives. Our Web Design London PPC experts will make those appropriate recommendations after the first consultation.
Where do display ads appear?
Display advertising done on Google will show up on Google Display Network websites. They will show up to users when they visit these websites either using their mobile devices or computers. Displaying ads within mobile apps is also possible as they do qualify as the Display Network.
What is the difference between search ads and display ads?
There are several differences between display and search ads. One of the biggest differences between these two types of ads is that display ads use ‘push’ marketing methods, while search ads focus on ‘pull’ marketing. These two opposing approaches have different objectives behind them. Our PPC experts would be able to determine which type of ads is more aligned with your business objectives. Sometimes it could mean a combination of both!
What is a remarketing ad?
Remarketing ads are specifically aimed at people who have previously interacted with your website. These are a great way of making the most from the website traffic you already have, from users already searching for something you can offer.
How long does it take to see results from Google Ads?
Once a Google Ads campaign has been launched, it needs to go through the approval process with Google. This typically takes up to one business day but may occasionally take longer. Once the campaign is approved and live, you can track the results almost instantly. The performance of the campaign depends on several factors but regular reporting is always in place when working with Web Design London PPC account managers.
What do I need to run Google Ads campaigns?
When working with Web Design London, the entire set up is done by us. We do have to get access to the backend of your website, as well as any data tracking accounts you have set up for your websites, such as Google Search Console or Google Analytics. Depending on what the strategy for the paid advertising campaign is, we may require other access. More details would be provided after the initial consultation.
How do you charge for paid advertising campaigns?
At Web Design London, we believe that we should only charge you a percentage of what you actually spend on your advertising campaigns. We have a campaign setup fee and charge 15% of your total monthly ad spend thereafter.
